Testimony
Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla was born and raised in a Christian family and used to attend church diligently. He was involved in all worldly affairs and used to enjoy life to the fullest. Though he enjoyed life, there was some emptiness in his life, which led him to depression. During these struggling days, He observed that his Mom used to come early in the morning, kneel at his bedside, and pray daily for the work of the Holy Spirit in him. As this continued, he encountered a flyer in 1988. This flyer consists of 365 Biblical Verses stating “Fear Not for Every Day,” which caught his attention. He was planning to discard it, but eventually ended up reading it. This changed his life completely when the Lord Jesus touched his heart. He repented of his sinful life, confessed his sins, bade goodbye to his worldly life, and started following the LORD Jesus wholeheartedly.
Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla began serving the LORD in 1988 through much prayer and meditation on the word. God blessed him with the Spiritual gifts through the power of the Holy Spirit. He invited many men of God through much prayer and conducted crusades in his town, “Rajahmundry,” to glorify Jesus and to spread the Gospel. God honored the humble effort, and many dedicated their life to Jesus during those crusades.
Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla continued his secular work to support his family and ministry. He was inspired to give up his secular job and serve the Lord full-time, but was waiting for a concrete sign/leading from the Lord.
In 2007, Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla had the opportunity to visit Jerusalem, and he was filled with joy to see all the places where the Lord Jesus lived while on this earth. During this time, he had a divine encounter in which he heard a voice in his spirit to establish a church, which eventually became Adonai Worship Center in Rajahmundry, where people gather for worship every Friday and Sunday. Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla continued his secular work, but there was a clear call from the LORD Jesus to come for full-time ministry. Rev. Dr. Martin heeded the divine call and immediately resigned from his job that day without even informing his spouse. After he informed his beloved wife, she received it with great joy and supported his decision. After giving up his secular job, Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla began serving the LORD and now spends all his time in that service wherever the Lord leads him across the world.
Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla was led by God in a vision to establish Adonai Theological College in Rajahmundry and to equip disciples as per the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). Many are blessed by this ministry, and God is leading them in various parts of India according to his will. Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla served as a mentor to a few pastors’ sick units and helped them rebuild their spiritual faculties. Upon witnessing his dedicated service, Martin was ordained as a Reverend by the Former AELC President, Rev. V. E. Christopher. Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla, along with his family, is serving the Lord faithfully at Adonai Worship Center, Rajahmundry, and has been awarded the Honorary Doctorate by Harvest Bible University, Chicago, IL, for his 27+ years of service in Christ and for opting out of a secure, secular job for Full-time ministry.
Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla has further strengthened his ministry through academic research, completing his Doctorate in Ministry thesis titled “The Impact of Technology and Social Media on Christian Minorities” at Andhra Christian Theological College, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad. His study examines how technology and social media influence Christian minority communities in worship, evangelism, fellowship, cultural preservation, and religious identity. The research highlights how digital platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, and other online tools can expand Gospel outreach, strengthen prayer networks, support Telugu and Indian Christian minority communities, and connect believers beyond geographical limitations. At the same time, it thoughtfully addresses challenges such as misinformation, online hostility, digital distraction, surveillance, and the erosion of traditional faith practices. This academic work reflects Rev. Dr. Martin Gulla’s continuing vision to equip the Church for the digital age while remaining faithful to biblical truth, Christian community, and the mission of Christ.
We praise God for the testimony and Lord’s ministry happening through Our Pastor.
